MICHIGAN PRODUCTION ALLIANCE FEBRUARY 2011 EVENT
Editing for Film
Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 6:00pm
Grace & Wild Studios – Stage B
23689 Industrial Park Drive
Farmington Hills, MI 48335
Communication is a key element that is often underutilized in any given project.
Michigan Production Alliance (MPA) has organized an event to highlight the communication process before beginning a film, commercial, documentary, television, industrial or corporate project. Post-production needs must be considered, such as, “Why are we choosing this particular medium?” or “Why are we planning this workflow?”
Grace & Wild Studios will host this event, held during MPA’s monthly meeting. Production veteran Keith Neff, Sr. Vice President and Managing Director of Grace & Wild Studios will lead the panel discussion from a post-production perspective. He will be joined by Nick Hrycyk and Michael Pfaendtner. Nick Hrycyk is a senior creative editor and chief engineer who honed his skills at some of the largest post-production houses in metro Detroit. His 30+ years of experience also includes running his own facility and winning many awards, including an Emmy. Michael Pfaendtner has edited commercials, corporate and industrial videos and documentaries for over 20 years. His work has been aired on The Travel Channel and on Public Broadcasting stations throughout the US and Canada. He is also a college-level instructor.
Please join us on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be an opportunity to connect with other industry professionals with networking beginning at 6:00pm, and presentations will begin at 7:00pm. The cost to attend this event is $5 for the public, and cost for MPA members is free. Light refreshments will be served.
This event benefits the non-profit Michigan Production Alliance
