Lights!  Cameras!  Extras!  Michigan Production Alliance invites you to a discussion about extras and proper etiquette on film sets.  If you have ever entertained the dream of being an extra on a film, if you would like to hone your knowledge of professional set etiquette, or if you are a crew person who works with extras, this meeting will benefit you!

Ryan Hill of Ryan Hill Casting will lead the dialogue.  Ryan enjoyed a solid background as a commercial production manager before developing a specialty for casting extras in Michigan.  His most memorable films include Red Dawn, The Ides of March, & A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.  Ryan will share the spoken and unspoken rules of set etiquette with an expert panel that includes Actress Sonya Avakian from the Screen Actor’s Guild, Costume and Wardrobe Designer Bernadine Vida, Location Manager Mike Jones, and Makeup Artist Kimberly Jones.

Combermere Stage, owned by Ringside Creative, will be the location for this month’s event.  This fabulous, one of a kind building has been host to thousands of commercials, corporate and music video jobs come and see why!

Do make your reservation to attend directly at MPA Registration to secure your place and reduced rate of $5!  Same-day price, at the door is $7. MPA members attend for free.  Creative networking begins at 6:00pm, and the presentation will start at 7:00pm.  Refreshments will be provided.  Come one, come all!  Turn a new leaf in this New Year. A mixed group of professionals and interested public is expected to attend.

Our Friends at Chow Catering will provide light snacks for the event!
